Feeding Fussy Children

Ideas on how to treat your children to the most nutritional meals without compromising their enthusiasm

it’s not uncommon to see a warfare at the dinner table during mealtimes, especially when children like to fuss over what’s on their plate. If your child has been exposed to junk food and some other unhealthier options at an early age, you might find that it’s hard to encourage them to go for the more nutritious meals that you serve, and therefore have a tantrum every time he doesn’t see his favorite fried chicken on the table.

The best way to avoid having fussy eaters is to lead by example and train your children early. Because our little ones are observant and tend to copy our habits and ways, it is best to show them the right food choices from the beginning. Eat right and your kids will follow. Spark their interest in making the best nutritional choices by bringing them to the market or grocery and showing them the raw materials that go into their dishes. Not only will this be a learning process for them, it will also create an awareness of the differences of natural food and those that are highly processed and packaged.
