On Teaching Your Kids To Swim

According to USA Swimming, an organization that promotes swimming education, swimming is the number one cause of death for children 1 and 4 years of age. It is important to start teaching kids how to swim at a young age. Some of the things to consider include your child's age. The American Association of Pediatrics recommends that four years old and above is the best age to teach a child to swim. In choosing classes, look for one that has no more than six students per instructor. If you're planning on teaching your kid yourself, remember to be patient and and to stay safe. Apart from safety, also make sure that your child enjoys swimming.
