Looking for something you and your family could do aside from catching a movie, going to the beach, and other typical bonding activities? Why not watch a play instead? There is a wide host of inspiring performances lined up this year, such as "Ang Nawawalang Kapatid," the 79th anniversary presentation of the Ateneo Children’s Theater. The musical is an adaptation of the Mahabharata Hindu epic, “The Lost Brother.” Performances are currently ongoing, until February 5th.
Another interesting brand of entertainment is Ballet & Ballads, a series of concerts at the Aliw Theater, which you can also catch this February. The country’s renowned ballerina, Lisa Macuja, goes on stage in collaboration with top Filipino musicians, including one of the country's most popular bands, Side A. The show is tagged as a fusion of a ballet performance and a concert. Ballet & Ballads starts on February 18, 2011, 7:30 p.m.
